/Our Experience
At Virtuo, we are motivated to improve how we move and perform in athletic endeavor. Over the last twenty years we have been actively designing across the spectrum of textiles, apparel, footwear and sporting and equipment. From surfing, to football, mountain biking and climbing, our team has deep applied experience in designing products and materials that improve athletic potential and personal recreational adventures. Research and development has spanned a wide range of materials, processes and methodologies, to create products that one can depend on.

Textiles and apparel are key materials used in sports and the outdoors. Our experience spans numerous products and includes multiple materials and processes, including kniting, weaving, non-wovens, seamless, welding and lamination technologies, as well as the design of CMT and innovative new processes and applications.

The design of soft and flexible products is an area we have a lot of experience. From concepting to CAD modeling, pattern making and prototyping, our team has designed products for a range of brands.

From holistic new concepts, sihouettes, uppers, midsoles and outsole developments, our work has spanned sporting boots, active footwear, lifestyle comfort, and children and youth shoes. These projects have explored the application of new materials and technologies.

Materials science and advance materials engineering is one of the driving forces behind advances many sports technologies and revolutionised the culture of design. Material science is a field of interest for us and we are constantly looking to new materials for novel application.

We are specialists in design of new sports and outdoor products. Our work has included surfing products, cycling, helmets, flotation devices, kayaks, fishing, boating and marine products.

Wearable technology is an area of technology development that merges worn clothing and equipment with technology. We have been working in and around wearables for twelve years for several organisations, and it is an area we see great potential.
